Conrad Geiger, Sun Microsystems
Biography
Conrad Geiger is a Principal Engineer at Sun Microsystems. Originally working for Sun in Seattle, Conrad has been a field-based systems engineer for Sun in Austin, Texas since 1994. He works exclusively with Sun's academic, research, and healthcare customers. During his 30+ year information technology career, Conrad also has been either a systems analyst or software developer for the following: IBM, NeXT Computer, Boeing, Burroughs, NBI, and the University of Texas Computation Center.
Conrad is currently both ITIL and TOGAF Certified. Over the past two years for several dozen of his U.S. information technology executive customers, Conrad has facilitated campus project "workouts" and produced the resulting professional reports, all at no-cost to those customers. These "workouts" are half-day IT customer stakeholder discussions addressing for each campus their proposed project business issues, project goals and associated risk mitigation. His customers' workout events have focused on the following projects: Enterprise Consolidation and Virtualization, Project Prioritization, Storage Backup and Archive, Data Security, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Identity Management.
During 2007-2008 Conrad was Sun's systems architect for Sun's HPC "Ranger" datacenter implementation at the University of Texas at Austin's Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) - a 4,000 system node research cluster and infiniband switch infrastructure.
Conrad is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with his post-graduate work also done there and at the University of Colorado and the University of Washington.

Biography
Kent Woodruff, CISSP, CWNA, CWAP, CWSP is currently a Senior Wireless Security Engineer with AirDefense, the leading provider of Wireless LAN security monitoring. He is responsible for technical support and guidance for the AirDefense sales team.
Mr. Woodruff applies a keen understanding of industry trends and technology for large enterprises, leveraging his experience in demonstrating not only the vulnerabilities of wireless networks, but also how such vulnerabilities can be mitigated.
Mr. Woodruff has over 24 years experience in the IT field, with a wide variety of technologies. He has experience in CAD/CAM and graphics programming; storage and systems management; software development for embedded systems, service oriented architectures, and middleware (CORBA and EJB); 802.11 security assessments and mobile device management; vulnerability management; and network security, policy, and compliance.

Brad Jensen, Senior Academic Relationship Manager, Microsoft Corporation
Biography
Bradley K. Jensen received his Ph.D. in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas (UNT), with majors in Business Computer Information Systems and Computer Science.
He is a Microsoft Corporation Senior Academic Relationship Manager responsible for Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Prior to Microsoft, he was an Assistant Professor in Information Technology and Decision Sciences and Assistant Director of the Information Systems Research Center at UNT, and was also President of JMC Consulting Services, an executive management consulting firm which provides strategic and tactical IT consulting services.
His research interests include privacy and security, networking, human factors, e-commerce, and document management. Dr. Jensen has been an executive and consultant with more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and IT experience with several Fortune 100 companies.

Michael Murray, Services Enablement Manager, Symantec Corporation
Biography
Michael Murray has 15+ years experience in the field of Enterprise Security. He is currently employed by Symantec Corporation as a Services Enablement Manager concentrating in the field of Security Technology. Prior to Symantec Michael was employed as a Security Specialist with Axent Technologies.
In July of 2000 Symantec acquired Axent as a major step forward in aggressively implementing their enterprise security strategy. Initially at Symantec, Michael was responsible for building a Managed Security Services practice. He later moved into a Principal Consulting role within where he had the opportunity to deploy Symantec Enterprise Security solutions into many large enterprise and Fortune 500 companies. Michael eventually moved into a role of Senior Systems Engineer where he was focused on supporting Symantec’s large partner community by assisting them in building both Security and Availability (former Veritas products) practices. During this time he evangelized the Symantec holistic approach to partners and their customers, where both security and availability work together to protect a company’s most important electronic data assets. In his latest role as a Services Enablement Manager, Michael is focused on assisting Security Partners in post-sales engagements as an enabler, coach and trainer specializing in the areas of Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention Technologies.
Michael is a third generation family member to graduate from Southwest Texas State University now known as Texas State University. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Michael went on to attend Southern Methodist University (SMU) Engineering and Advanced Computer Education Center where he graduated in 1999.
Michael started his career in technology in the mid-90’s when he worked at Dell Computers and several other Austin startup companies. Michael and his wife are residents of San Marcos Texas.

Garry White, Texas State University, Department of CIS
Biography
Garry L. White is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Information Systems department at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He holds a MS in Computer Sciences from Texas A & M University – Corpus Christi and a PhD in Information Systems Education, from The University of Texas at Austin.
The Institute of Certified Computer Professionals (ICCP) certified him in Information Technology Management, Systems Development, Business Information Systems, and Security Systems. Other industry certifications include Novell Certified Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate, and Network+. He has been on the Texas State University faculty since 1997.
His research interests are in the areas of privacy, system security, and international issues. He has published papers in academic journals such as the Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Information Systems Education, International Journal of Technology & Human Interaction, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of Information Technology & Management, and the Journal of International Technology & Information Management.

Dean began his computing career in 1987, converting paper-based accounting systems to computerized systems for the optical industry. He then segued into designing computer inventory systems for small and mid-size companies.
